Your Role:

We are hiring talented seamstresses to join our fast-growing company, RedThread, in our mission to create beautiful custom-fit clothing, for all women. You will be responsible for altering each garment for each unique client, for her perfect fit.

Titled the “Future of Fashion” by Fashionista and Women’s Wear Daily, RedThread is the very first women’s apparel brand to ditch standard sizes (finally!) and create custom-fit apparel, shipped straight to her door.

Your Contribution:

Integral to the team, you will bring the skills to create well-made, polished pieces, unique to each customer. Following the specifications written by the Fit Tech, you will be responsible for altering each individual garment to the specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review measurement specifications for each unique customer, including waist, hip, and inseam length. 
• Measure, mark, and cut garments to achieve key points of measure.
• Use industrial machines to sew, press, and finish garments.
• Quality check garments meet key points of measure and quality standards.

What We Are Looking For:

• 3+ years experience in altering or making garments, with experience in knits and stretch fabrics.
• Proficient in sewing with coverstitch, overlock, and straight stitch. Industrial sewing machine experience is preferred.
• Experience in pattern-making or sample-making is a plus.
• Energy to drive positive change, grow, and thrive.
• Enthusiasm to use your expertise to contribute to new designs, products, and company growth.

• Hours are stable and flexible - part-time or full time depending on your schedule. We believe in great people, and we will create a schedule that works for you.
• This role is based in our brand-new sewing studio in Verdi, Nevada.
